Okehampton ladies 1

Bude ladies 7

BUDE put pressure on the home defence, headed by Jane Jones. After ten minutes Oke conceded a couple of short corners which were well covered by their goalkeeper Shannon Osman.

The visitors scored the first goal from open play but the equaliser came from a well structured short corner by Oke with Lesley Bingham scoring from the post. Oke's defence worked hard to keep Bude at bay on numerous short corners but gave away a penalty flick that was superbly saved by Oke's 15 year-old keeper. By half time it was 2-1 to Bude.

However in the second half Bude put on an extra push to score a couple more goals from short corners early on. Okehampton then went down to 10 players after an injury, which put even more pressure on the team.

Jo Moppett for Oke made some super advances towards the Bude goal, with support from winger Kim Davey, Oke's best player.

Okehampton were unable to make much headway in the second half but their players never gave up to the final whistle.
