DID you play hockey at school? Did you never play and wish you had? Would you like to give it a go?

Tavistock Hockey Club, in conjunction with Kelly College, is running a series of free 'Back to Hockey' sessions at Kelly Astro pitch, beginning on Thursday, May 1.

Back to Hockey sessions are coached sessions where the emphasis is on making friends, learning new skills and most of all, having fun!

The sessions will be in small, friendly groups, run on an informal basis by qualified coaches from Tavistock Hockey Club.

Coach Simon Fenwick said: 'We will be able to supply all the equipment — and these sessions are completely free and open to absolutely anybody, whatever their standard.'

The sessions are an England Hockey initiative and aimed at increasing female participation in sport by encouraging women back into hockey.

The sessions will take place between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursdays at Kelly Astro Pitch in Tavistock, and will run from May 1 until June 5.
