BOTH team's settled down into a fast paced game with plentiful battles for possession and control of the match.

The first goal came from the home side following a shot on goal from midfielder Payne which the keeper saved and attacker Gasper capitalised on the loose ball in front of goal.

Tiverton side White Eagles were quickly on the counter attack putting pressure under the defensive line of Colston, Langsford, Mills-Hicks and Kelly.

The visitors equalised despite the efforts of home keeper Viggers. Tavistock worked hard to re-gain control and were rewarded with some swift attacking moves between Armstrong, Lamb and Martin.

The next goal followed a string of strong passes from Patterson to Lamb, who drove to the back line and popped the ball up for White to convert and make it 2-1 at half time.

The second half saw more end to end play and several penalty corners awarded to the away side which Tavistock were strong in repelling.

White Eagles finally beat the Tavistock defence with two big hits on a quick break covering the length of the pitch and catching Tavistock on the back foot - capitalising when an away striker scored after a one with the home keeper.

Several scrappy moves saw green cards awarded to both sides but Tavistock did not let it rattle them.

A final short-corner was awarded to Tavistock. Pushed out by Payne, stopped by Gasper and struck by Patterson brought the much needed winning goal. The final whistle followed shortly after, giving Tavistock the 3-2 win.
