OKEHAMPTON attacking from the start piled the pressure on the Chard defence.

The visitors' chance to score came when centre forward Grace Thorp was left with just the Chard keeper to beat. Determination from both players resulted in Thorp colliding with the keeper and the ball catapulting off the back line.

After an evenly fought first half the teams took it in turns to dominate the second. Right half Hannah Whiteley worked well for Oke with right wing Rochelle Hillier forcing some strong defending from Chard.

Midway through the half Chard stepped up a gear but Oke's full backs Katy Graves and Carol Taylor worked well together to outwit the Chard attack. They were ably assisted by keeper Shannon Osman who made some crucial saves.

With five minutes left to play the Oke team took control with the midfield players providing their forwards with some lovely balls.

Despite constantly attacking the goal Okehampton were unable to net the winning goal.
