KELLY College Swim Squad was represented at the Devon County Amateur Swimming Association Open Water Championships held in Oddicombe, Torquay, by two staff members and two squad swimmers. The junior championships were swum over 1,500m and the senior championships 3,000m. Victoria Moore (14) took the girls' junior open water title, while Tom Brew (13) swimming in this event for the first time, swam away from the field and won the boys' championship. It was then down to the Kelly College staff members, Liz Vernon in the ladies' senior championship and Greg King in the men's. This was a new event for both of them and they both competed well with Liz placed third and Greg sixth. With such good results from all four races Kelly College were awarded the DCASA Open Water Team Championship for 2014, which was presented to the team by Kate Veale, DCASA president.
