LAST weekend, Kelly College's Sian Temple, who has recently been selected to run for South West England at the London Mini Marathon, was crowned U13 Champion of the Westward Running League.

Throughout the winter, Sian has competed against runners from across Devon and Cornwall and has amassed the maximum score available, 400 points, to win first place.

Also competing over the weekend was Jacob Staig. He took part in the South West Triathlon Trials at Millfield School.

Jacob finished second in his age group and won a place to represent Kelly College in the national finals to be held at Crystal Palace later this year.
