A STRONG first half from Tavistock saw them score three tries from their wingers, Freddie Williams (2) and one for Connor Baker.
Good work from James Paxman at the full back position and Jacob Staig as fly half created the tries and Zac Gorton made two successful conversions to take the score to 19-0 at half time.
Plymstock started to fight back scoring two quick tries and closing the gap to within seven points. However, it was the Tavistock forwards who struck back with a try from Archie Allen and one from Joe Burbage to seal the win.

THIS was a convincing win for Tavistock with the whole team putting a great performance.
Great work by Luke Lewandoski and Lochlan Fultan in the fly half and centre positions meant that the ball was fed through to Zac Gorton and Jude White, who both scored early tries.
Toby Teague then showed one of his strong runs through the centre to score a third for Tavistock.
The second half saw James Paxman, Joe Burbage, Connor Baker and Archie Allen all on the score sheet which meant seven tries from seven individual scorers, a first for the team.

IN the quarter finals of the Devon Cup, Tavistock met a strong Torquay side.
From the early stages the Torquay backs moved the ball well and struck down the wing with two quick tries. Tavistock attempted to contain them via good tackling from Olly Noy Scott, Peter Bull and James Paxman but a number of handling errors forced them to be on the defensive.
Quick thinking from Jack Smyly helped them but another two tries came from Torquay as Tavistock were 22 points behind at half time with nothing to show for their efforts.
They came out stronger in the second half and although they conceded another 22 points, it was their heart and soul that saw them fight to put some points of their own on the scoresheet. There was good work from Toby Teague, Jon Lord and eventually a try from Joe Burbage, which lifted the team spirits.
