TAVISTOCK girls recorded their first ever league victory in two seasons of trying. Under strength Keyham contributed well to an entertaining game played in bright sunshine.

Great work by Selina Delaney in goal and Emily Dower at centre back provided a great base for the team and two goals from Jasmine Edwards and a hat-trick from Steph Hutchins saw this great bunch of girls home.

ELBURTON settled quicker and adapted to the heavy pitch well, but it was Tavistock that took the lead through an individual effort from Burgess. Back came Villa to score twice through Moss and take a 2-1 lead into half time.

Injury enforced changes saw Tavi shuffle the players around and start the secon half with renewed vigour. Brimacombe equalised and Tavistock went on to hit the post before Moss notched his hat-trick for Villa.

Tavistock equalised with ten minutes to go through Sproats following a goal mouth scramble and then with less than two minutes to go an indirect free kick inside the Villa box saw March lay off for Brimacombe to smash the winner. An excellent game of football. Player of the match for Tavistock was Brimacombe.
