EARLIER this month Hurdwick Golf Club members travelled to Great Torrington Golf Club in North Devon to play a friendly match, the first match against the club in a long time. The weather could not have been more perfect for what turned out to be an excellent match that involved some seven pairs from each side. The hosts were an absolute joy, said the visitors, as were their facilities and course. Great Torrington won by five matches to two and the teams look forward to a return match in July.
