MEMBERS of Hurdwick Golf Club near Tavistock and their guests got together to play in a nationally organised competition to raise funds for 'Help for Heroes' earlier this month.

It consisted of a Stableford competition and the top five from the day are submitted to see if they are eligible for regional finals. The day itself was glorious, the company superb and the course, being in excellent condition, meant some good scores were returned.

The members actually raised some £275 for the charity itself.
