IN division two of the Okehampton and District Table Tennis League Okehampton B were at home against Horrabridge.

John Howick nearly lost out to Dan Bashford, Chloe Greenaway beat Maureen Venton and Jill Northey beat Mark Ralph to put Horrabridge 3-0 ahead.

Dan made it 4-0 beating Maureen, then John Howick pulled one back for Okehampton. Chloe won the next against Mark and Maureen beat Jill to make it 5-2 to Horrabridge. Dan and Chloe won the next two singles to both score maximums and played together in the doubles to bear Maureen and John for a 8-2 win for Horrabridge.

The next game saw Moretonhampstead at home to league leaders Milton Abbot A. Ken Underhill put Moretonhampstead in the first game against Michael Blatchford, then Tim Westcott made it 1-1 beating Brian Skilton. Ian Osborne beat Richard Underhill in a hard fought game, just losing out 3-1.

The next game Ken played Ian in a game which went to a record score of 11 — Ken just winning 24-22, and went on to take the score 3-2 to Milton Abbot.

Milton Abbot then stepped up a gear taking the next four singles and the double for 8-2 win. Tim Westcott completed a fine maximum in the last single beating Ken 3-1.

The next match Milton Abbot B were against Anchorage B. The match was conceded — the score finished 7-3 to Anchorage B. Louie Cherrington did well to win two singles for Milton Abbot B.
