AFTER winning 2-0 in midweek, Tavistock Hire kept up the impressive start with a 6-2 victory in horrendous conditions in Plymouth.

They did start slowly and conceded after five minutes with a long range effort. However, they were soon on level terms when Will Pike ran clear to steer home.

Pike scored his second when he sneaked in at the back post to fire low in the corner.

Dave Wilkinson was controlling the midfield and he fed Kurt Hadaway to score with a calm finish. Des Newton got his first just before half time with a scrambled effort.

Again, Tavistock Hire started slowly and were pegged back with an early second half goal.

Newton got his second when played in by Sam Saunders to round the keeper and score. The hat-trick came with to go when Newton was felled in the area and he stepped up to stroke home and celebrate a comfortable victory.
