THIS was a great start to the season for Tavistock ladies with a comfortable 5-0 win.

Tavistock started the game quick and strong and if it was not for Budleigh's goalkeeper could have been 2-0 up within 10 minutes.

The breakthrough was made with Donna Weeks smashing the ball in the bottom corner after some good play.

The best moment of the match was when centre back and player of the match Rachael Kelly carried the ball from inside her half to strike a 25 yard screamer to make it 2-0. Robyn Hammond scored the third with a great finish from outside the area before getting her second thanks to a deflection from a Budleigh defender.

Becky Gordon finished off the scoring tapping home after a mistake by the defender. Tavistock goalkeeper Lauren Schuttkacker kept a clean sheet after making a superb save in the closing minutes. .
