THE West Devon Community Badminton Network (CBN) has had two banners made by Tavy Signs which will promote new and existing badminton opportunities across the West Devon community.

The West Devon CBN was set up by Badminton England in association with Tavyside Badminton, the Okehampton Community Recreational Association and West Devon Borough Council with its specific aim to support and develop the sport of badminton throughout the West Devon area. When set up, four years ago, there were nine opportunities for individuals to play the sport of badminton; now there are more than 20.

In addition to supporting and starting new sessions in a number of West Devon villages, the West Devon CBN has worked closely with the Tavistock Community Sports Centre and Parklands Leisure Centre, Okehampton in the setting up 'Pay and Play' and 'No-Strings' Badminton sessions on Sunday mornings. In addition the town of Tavistock has seen the reintroduction of the sport of badminton with Tavyside Badminton now coaching and playing out of the Tavistock Community Sports Centre.
