HATHERLEIGH seconds Sunday team in the North Devon seconds league lost to Barnstaple and Pilton but not without some resistance.

The home side scored 180 with Steven Miles hitting 52 and Jack Barkwill 61.

The visitors replied with 181-5, to win by five wickets, with Hatherleigh bowler Brian Stacey taking 2-16.
