KELLY College pupil Hannah Russell travelled to Pond's Forge, Sheffield at the weekend to compete in the Nationwide Junior and Youth Swimming Championships.

Hannah broke two world records in what proved to be a supremely confident display.

In the S12 400m freestyle, Hannah took more than eight seconds off her own world record to finish in a time of 4 minutes 28.94 seconds.

She then went on to show consistency in her outstanding form by finishing the S12 100m Backstroke in 1 minute 07.86 seconds. This was her second world record of the weekend and capped a dominant performance.

The results follow what has already been an impressive year for the Kelly College swimmer.

In January, Hannah set her original world record while competing at an Open Meet held by Exeter City Swimming Club at Cardiff International Pool.

The visually impaired S12 swimmer is already a Paralympic medallist after winning silver and bronze Medals in London and the positive form she has shown since joining Kelly College promises much for future events and the Paralympics in Rio 2016.
