OCRA Gym, Trampoline and DMT Club took trampolines and a track into Simmons Park for Super Sporting Sunday to show the public some of the skills they have been learning at the club.
Super Sporting Sunday was a fun day with a variety of free activities on offer for the public to try, and was the last day of OCRA’s Sports and Fitness Festival, a week of sporting activity for all.
OCRA gymnasts demonstrated skills from handstands and cartwheels to tumbling passes and double somersaults. Members of the public from aged three to 70-years-old were able to learn skills on the equipment for free throughout the day, alongside OCRA gymnasts.
Some of the equipment was funded by Sport England for OCRA’s adult gym and trampoline sessions for 14-year-olds and over, to get more people involved in sport.
The club’s head coach, Vicki Pritchard, said: ‘It was a really fun day. Thank you to our coaches, volunteers and gymnasts for their hard work and enthusiasm, and for keeping going through the heat!’
