This is a meeting not to miss with eight races on offer and an early start time of 11.30am. More than 80 entries have been received.
The Kivells sponsored men’s open looks to be the feature race, having attracted entries from prolific winning horse Premier Portrait, who won here at the December meeting; Blazing Whale, who has clocked up wins in double figures to date, and Full Trottle, who won the mixed-open at Black Forest Lodge in November and is sure to put up another bold show if turning up here.
The Skinners’ sponsored ladies’ race could be equally as thrilling with four time course winner Sobre Tresor entered, along with prolific winning gelding Start Royal who has an impressive 22 wins to date and would look to be the’ favourite with the booking of Gina Andrews to ride.
Trainer Dean Summersby clocked up a double here at the December meeting and has Chosen Lucky entered in the Moores of St Wenn-sponsored members race, connections will be looking for a repeat of that form shown here when winning his maiden race under jockey Darren Edwards.
Blazing Whale and Supreme Danehill could be two to consider in the Hops Oils-sponsored novice riders race. Whilst those that catch the eye in the restricted race are Urban Storm, having ran a good second at the Black Forest Lodge meeting, and High Priority after his second under jockey Josh Newman at the December meeting here. This race has been sponsored by three Cornish farriers Ryan Chapman, Andrew Prout and Andrew Daniels.
The open maiden race has already been divided with 11 entered in each division. Consideration in the first division could be given to Come On Joey, to follow up on his third here in December. In the second division Petite Rock looked to stay on well when six lengths second here previously under jockey Josh Newman. The maiden races have been kindly sponsored by Stephen Scown Solicitors and The Old Inn, St Breward.
Up last is the Cornish Mutual-sponsored confined race, which could see last meeting’s previous course winner Follow The Paint try and fend off challengers, which could include Robin de Souza and Applesolutely.
