ON Saturday a three ball, two to count, Stableford competition for the Wilson Shield was held at Okehampton Golf Club.

The winners of division one and the shield were Malcolm Hooper, Rob Green and Richard Prouse with 79 points. In second place were Toby Gostling, Barry Down and Ricky Wooldridge with 78pts and in third place with 77pts were Ian Moore, Dan Hudson and Paul Prouse.

Division two was won by Steve Robinson, Ron Copeland and Kevin Harding with 76pts, Norman Heslop, Reggie Wonnacott and Tim Butler were second with 75pts after countback from, in third, Alan Lawson, Dennis Edwards and Adrian Raymond also with 75pts.

On Friday a group of ladies dressed in purple supported International Women’s Day. They entered a two ball one to count Stableford competition and the winners with 39 pts were Frances Harbron and Jan Edwards.
