ON Saturday at Okehampton Golf Club an individual Medal competition for the Stanley Bridges Salver was played.

The winner of division one and the salver was club captain Evan Rees with gross 69 nett 64. In second position, with nett 66, was Malcolm Hill, in third was Matt Parry with nett 67.

Division two was won by Graham Pengelly with nett 66, Mitchell Hunt was second with nett 67 after count back on the back nine from, in third Reggie Wonnacott .

Roger Halliday was the winner of division three with nett 73, Bill Tucker was second with nett 76, third with nett 77.

On Sunday a mixed four better ball open competition was held and the overall winners with 43 points were Allen and Penny Deakin (Okehampton) and second overall were Bob and Marcia Collett with 37 points (Okehampton).

The best visitor prize was awarded to Andy Hood and Denise Evans with 37 points (Royal North Devon) and the second visitor prize went to Brian Newman and Haley Carpenter with 36pts (Stover).

The best Okehampton prize was won by Adrian Tilley and Janice Thwaites and sixth place went to Steve and Alison West from Portmore Golf Club with 35pts.
