THE Dartmoor Foursomes were played at the weekend played at both Yelverton and Tavistock golf clubs.

More than 200 players enjoyed the competition in glorious sunshine.

The event was won by Yelverton members, Brad Richardson and Sean Carter with 77 points.

Second were Alan Rice and Dennis Birrell (Yelverton) 76pts and third, Mike Phillips and Di Reardon (Yelverton) 72pts on count back; sixth, Paul Skidmore and Richard Reid (Okehampton) 71pts; tenth, Steve Seward and Jon Turfrey (Yelverton) 71pt.

Best pair first day at Yelverton were Peter Foster and Sarah Jenkins 38pts (Dorchester); best pair first day at Tavistock, Nick and Anna Deeney 40pts (Hunstanton); best pair second day at Yelverton, S and K Green 38pts (Ilfracombe); best pair second day at Tavistock, Lester Francis and Richard Burrows 38pts (Tavistock).

Best ladies pair not in top ten, Hilary Picton and Dawn Phillott (Tavistock); best Yelverton pair not in top ten, Steve Nichols and Darren Full; best Tavistock pair not in top ten, Dawn and Graham Dennis.
