MOUNT House pupils Wilf Hadow and Jonty Walliker represented the South West Region in the Prep Schools National Athletics Championships at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham, and came away with gold medals.

Wilf won the U14 boys' long jump while Jonty rose to take U12 high jump.

The squad from Mount House took part competing against athletes from the 300 plus Prep Schools across England.

Wilf also came fourth in the U14s 400 metres, while Will Partington was joint second in the U14 boys' high jump, but came fourth on countback. Joe Beck set a new best time of 29.81 seconds in coming sixth in the boys' U12 200 metres, and Emma Manton was placed sixth in the girls' U13s long jump.

Athletes who took part from Mount House: Bethan Wesley, Elsa Ken, Ella Woolcock, Lucy Walliker, Samantha Unsworth-White, Martha Jacobs, Beccy Manton, Ralph Lopes, Wilf Hadow , Will Partington, Will Stone, Joe Beck, Jonty Walliker and Ludo De Falbe.
