THE Mount House U11 girls' hockey team played some superb hockey to reach the final of the Exeter School hockey tournament before coming away with silver medals.

In their pool, Mount House started with a 2-0 win against West Buckland, both goals coming from Lauren Barrett, who also scored the the only goal in their win against Exeter Cathedral School. In the third pool game they drew 0-0.

In the semi-final against Truro Prep they won 1-0 thanks to a Betty Stone goal from a short corner set play.

Mount House met Wellington School in the final. Betty Stone was superb as sweeper but the team lost 1-0 from a breakaway goal. Mount House's Millie Sharp hit the post and Annaliese Wright shot inches wide, but the final whistle went and Wellington were 1-0 winners.
