OKEHAMPTON were fielding a team mixed with youth and experience.

Early in the game the teams were evenly matched with the visitors' attack putting pressure on Callington, but equally the Oke defence were kept on their toes by their opposition.

Okehampton claimed the most ball possession in the second half. Sophie Tripp, playing at centre half for Oke, tackled tirelessly and supplied her forwards with some perfectly placed balls.

Centre forward Grace Thorp forced several good saves from the Callington keeper in her quest to break the deadlock.

During the last 10 minutes Oke stepped up their game hoping to get the winning goal. They were awarded several penalty corners but strong defending from Callington denied Okehampton the elusive goal.
