THE Tavistock six a side league continued with what looks like a battle all the way to the finish developing.

With three games gone, Expected Toulouse look like they might have been not strictly telling the truth, as they won again 2-0 over ABCDE FC as Ryan Smale found some fine early season form.

There were no slips either from Whitchurch Cricket Club, and Dave Northey led to the points in a 1-0 victory over Taylors’ Allstars.

The big winners this week, though, were Southgate FC, who showed plenty of ‘Steele’ this week, as Mike Steele produced a fine display in their 4-1 dismissal of 99 Problems But The Pitch Ain’t One.

In the pick of the other games MKBA FC edged out Puyol Pants Down by the only goal, as Chris Bray proved the difference.
