TAVISTOCK ladies took the lead in the first half with Becky McMullin sending a through ball to Becky Turner, who then took it around the goalie to score.

McMullin nearly extended Tavistock’s lead with a long shot but it was just tipped over the crossbar by Bideford’s goal-keeper.

At half time the score was still 1-0.

In the second half Tavistock ladies extended their lead with a shot from Becky McMullin being deflected to Becky Turner, who took the ball around the goalie to score.

The Tavistock defence Chelsea Starbuck, Carleigh Bammens, Laura Phillip and Jess Eales played well, keeping the ball in Bideford’s half.

From a throw-in Jess Eales passed to Donna Hone; she crossed it to Gemma Small, who shot and found the back of the net giving Tavistock ladies their three goal lead.

Bideford fought back and scored a goal just before full time making the final score 3-1. Carleigh Bammens was player of the match.
