TAVISTOCK AFC had reason to cheer when the the ninth season of South West Peninsula League Football was celebrated with the its annual dinner and presentation at the Holiday Inn, Plymouth last week.

The West Devon club followed up last year’s ‘East Award’ - when they were champions of the Division One East and promoted - with the premier division accolade for their Langsford Park ground.

A spokesperson for the club said it was a great recognition of all the work that goes on behind the scenes.
