okehampton ARGYLE 10

SANDFORD 2

ARGYLE Seconds set out to make it ten wins from ten in league action this season taking on mid table Sandford at Simmons Park.

Okehampton, who made three changes from the side which beat City Raiders 18-0 the week before, went 1-0 down early on thanks to a speculative effort from the Sandford centre forward.

Argyle, however, used every bit of experience they had gained from their previous nine wins to ensure that they went in at the break 4-2 to the good. Goals from Jamie Mallett, Owen Rutley and two from Josh Tickner were only interceded by a wonder strike from the tricky Sandford number 10.

The second half would prove to be more one way traffic with Argyle dominating possession and chances.

Substitute Connor Mills added two goals in quick succession to make sure Argyle led 6-2 on the hour mark. While the heavy Simmons Park pitch was playing its part, Oke continued to try to play football which resulted in some quick fire goals against a tiring Sandford back line. Two more for Tickner and Rutley saw Argyle run out comprehensive 10-2 victors.

l This Saturday Argyle seconds travel to Cheriton Fitzpaine.
