TAVISTOCK CFC under 12s finished the season with a well deserved but hard fought match to win the Ray Pink Memorial Trophy against Saltash at Haye Road on Sunday.

After taking the lead three times (Cassidy 2, Towell) only to be pulled back on all three occasions, Saltash then hit the cross bar with virtually the last kick of the game and the matched ended 3-3.

There was then a penalty shoot out, with Tavistock scoring four very good ones put away by (Redfern, de Wilde, Cassidy, Hogan) to give them a 4-2 victory in penalties.

Tavistock U12s manager Simon Hogan and coach Nathan Blamey both said how proud they were, with the way the team played, never gave up and that after a long and wet season this victory was the perfect way to end the season.
