EIGHT teams duked it out in the Tavistock Small Schools football tournament at the end of last month.

Lamerton, Meavy, Lady Modiford’s, Milton Abbot, and two teams from both Mary Tavy and Gulworthy fought it out for bragging rights in the tournament held at Gulworthy on September 27.

Lady Modiford’s were victorious in the final, beating the Gulworthy A team 1-0.

Both teams will now progress on to the West Devon finals.

Mary Tavy A finished third after beating Meavy in the third place play-off.
