Liskeard 0
Tavistock Reserves 4
TAVISTOCK Reserves started the game well with Liskeard unable to get out of their half for the first ten minutes.
The visitors were unable to find the goal but the chances were coming and it seemed to be only a matter of time. Tavistock continued to push and some great play on the wings from Matt Davidson and James Phelps saw plenty of balls flying into the box; only some good defending from Liskeard preventing the breakthrough. At half time Tavistock must have been wondering what they had to do to find the net.
Their pressure continued in the second half with the Liskeard keeper having to pull off some fine saves.
Tavistock decided to make two changes with 30 minutes to go and the fresh legs made the difference, opening up a tired looking Liskeard, Substitute Ian Rooke scored the first goal with a lovely flick past the goalkeeper.
He soon found his second goal a few minutes later beating two players and curling a shot to the far post to make it 2-0.
Five minutes later Ian Rooke had his hat trick picking up the ball 25 yards from goal and firing a great shot into the bottom corner leaving the goalkeeper no chance.
Tavistock kept pushing keen to find more goals and added a fourth thanks to Craig Holt who also found the bottom corner from 25 yards.
The Tavistock managers and players were happy with a great performance and a very important three points.
