St Dominick 1
Tavistock AFC Res 6
Tavistock Reserves travelled the short distance to a wet and windy St Dominick looking to get back to winning ways.
An early third minute goal by Joe Wood set the tempo. Tavistock continued to push forward playing some good football only for a mistake by the St Dominick defence to present James Phelps the chance to make it 2-0.
The second half started well and the visitors hit a third goal through Matt Davidson, who scored from outside of the box.
St Dominick kept pressing and managed to get one back after a mistake from the Tavistock defence.
Ian Rooke, who returned to the Tavistock team following injury, scored his side’s fourth, thanks to unselfish play by James Phelps.
In the last ten minutes Tavistock wrapped it up after James Phelps shot come cross from 35 yards held up in the wind and rebounded off the bar and Scott Wellington was there to put the rebound in.
A late penalty allowed James Phelps to get his name on the scoresheet again with the last kick of the game for a much deserved win to the visitors.
