Macron Devon and Exeter three

AFTER a lovely morning up the pitch and watching the U15s progress to a cup final, it was the turn of the North Tawton senior team to play albeit on a dismal afternoon with drizzle and windy conditions.

They had a 14 man squad against a strong Sandford team that beat the hosts earlier in the season.

It was end to end stuff for the first 30 minutes before Sandford scored from a rebound despite appeals for an off side from the home team.

At 1-0 Sandford at half time came after the interval the visitors scored again with a good finish. Richard Keast for North Tawton with his non stop running caused Sandford problems but another attack on the home goal resulted in Sandford scoring their third

It was end to end football to the final whistle but no more goals were scored.

Although North Tawton are bottom of the league they can be proud of this gutsy performance against second place Sandford on an afternoon where the elements made it difficult to play football.
