JJ Jones and Sons Duchy three
Gunnislake 1
Queen’s Park 1
THIS game being the first home league game for Gunnislake at the new pitch at Butt’s Meadow was a very hard game. The wet weather certainly put a damper on the opening proceedings.
There was very little to choose between the two teams but the opening goal after 20 minutes came from Jannie Seery of Queens Rangers with a good low shot from just inside the penalty area.
Play continued end to end with the midfields cancelling each other out.
The equaliser came from Gunnislake’s Simon Kelly heading the ball from a well struck corner kick.
After many goal line clearances and some brave defending at both ends the points were shared as it finished 1-1.
Gunnislake FC thank the Duchy officials who attended for the occasion on a wet and dreary afternoon.
