CHAGFORD’S losing run in the league stretched to five games following an uninspiring showing against promotion hopefuls Lyme Regis.

Two goals down at half time, the hosts had Jake Rowe’s second half strike to show in answer to a third from the seasiders, but it was to no avail.

The result sees Chagford fall perilously close to the relegation zone. They now go into a DCFA Senior Cup quarter final at home to division rivals Colyton at 2pm on Saturday, in the hope of continuing their impressive cup form.

The reserves travel to Newton Poppleford for a Division Seven match at 3pm, also looking over their shoulders at the relegation places below them.
