THIS week saw a local representation of Samantha Lake from Tavistock Run Project and Adam Holland from Tavistock Athletic Club, in Exeter for the ‘Fast Friday 10k’.

This is a popular race with a high number of top calibre runners from around the South West area. 

The race itself is set in the Exwick area of Exeter, beside the river. The race was four laps with a few ups, downs and tight turns. This, however, did not deter the two local runners who both had very successful results. 

First up was Adam who crossed the finish line second overall in a cracking time of 32 minutes and 59 seconds followed by Sam Lake who had a great race, finishing fourth female and first in her age category of veteran 35 in a PB time of 39.09. It was a successful result for the Tavistock athletes.
