MORE than 700 people with 400 footballers attended the first fixture of the season in the Devon Ability Counts League at Coach Road, Newton Abbot on Sunday.
The Tavistock Specials had a strong Premiership two side who played really well in a very tight, close league last season. League two now has new teams this year as did most the leagues.
Tavisotck Ladies have more new members and this team has really grown in the last few months playing really well on the Devon FA headquarters’ main pitch while the U16s also had a strong side for the first fixture.
With so many attending these leagues it proves the success of Devon’s Ability Counts’ clubs from North, South, East and West Devon.
The next fixture is the youth leagues on October 8 at Devonport High School, Plymouth and the adult leagues the following week at Chudleigh FC on October 15.
