Devon and Exeter nine
Chagford Reserves 3
Feniton thirds 2
THIS proved to be a much tougher game of late, against the division’s bottom club. Feniton defended well and played a decent passing game in going forward.
In fact, both teams cancelled each other out in the early stages until the half-hour mark. Snell for Chagford sent in a great corner kick that saw Will Hutchison rising like a salmon to head into the top corner of the Fenny net.
Six minutes later Darren Siwiec found himself free to head home another corner, doubling the hosts’ lead.
Lesser teams may have folded but this young Feniton side had other ideas and goals from Louis Hilton and Jamie Cobbledick, immed-iately before and after half-time, drew the scores level.
On 60 minutes, Adam White smashed the ball home to give Chagford their 50th league goal, though not before they had to cope with Feniton’s attack and a mini-snowstorm to see out the win.
