CALLINGTON were always going to be favourites for this game as the second from top team in the league playing second from bottom Launceston.

However, to their credit, the Clarets did not go down easily, even though, the visitors found themselves a goal down with only two minutes gone — courtesy of a Keiran Prescott goal from a Jay Martin pass. It was not until the second half when goals by Ben Langton in the 75th minute and an Ian Rook volley in the 85th finally ended any resistence.

The win gave Callington a double this season over their opponents, following a 1-0 away victory.
