Bere Alston United 0

Edgcumbe 4

BERE Alston played well in the first half of this semi-final with both teams cancelling each other out.

However, ten minutes into the second half United’s Alec Lowe was tripped in the box and Paul Simpson’s penalty was saved low to the goalkeeper’s left.

Unfortunately for Bere inside a minute Edgcumbe took the lead with a shot from outside the box.

This stunned the home side into action and Bere piled forward in search of the equiliser. However, three goals by their opponents ended their hopes. They were not helped when with all their substitutes on Bere keeper was injured in a collision and James Follett with a leg injury Bere had to play the last 15 minutes with nine men.
