FOLLOWING on from a disappointing 1-1 draw away to Polperro last week Bere Alston Utd were looking to set the record straight at home to St Blazey.

It did not take them long to get into their stride when Alex Lowe opened the scoring after 10 minutes. Goals continued to flow until half time when Bere went in leading 8-0 with Lowe scoring five, Chris Bray two and Paul Simpson also adding to the tally. 

The second half continued in the same fashion, Bere Alston added a further seven goals bringing the total to 15 with no reply from Blazey. 

Second half goal came from Paul Simpson four and Dan Follett, James Elliot and Ryan Smale.

This was a pleasing result for Bere Alston but they are aware that tougher challenges are to come on their quest for promotion to South West Peninsular League football.
