A JAMIE Mallet goal was the only consolation for Argyle as they lost comprehensively to Cronies on the 3G pitch at Ashbury.

While Okehampton had good patches of play this never really amounted to anything of substance and next week’s visit to Newtown will not be any easier as they currently sit third in the Premier Division so Okehampton will need a big improvement if they are to start collecting the points needed to avoid relegation.

The reserves game at Pinhoe was cancelled giving them a week off to prepare for their Geary Cup quarter final on Saturday at Simmons Park. They will be hosting HT Dons with a 2pm kick-off, which allows for extra time should it be required.

With Okehampton and HT Dons both winning one each when meeting in the league, this game should prove interesting. As always with Okehampton, much will depend on player availability.
