THERE was a good turnout of players at Tavistock Hockey Club's annual Christmas hockey match. The weather was kind and contributed to a competitive match played in good spirits.

Two teams worked off some of the festive excesses and competed in a fast-paced game that remarkably ended in a high-scoring draw.

After the game, the players collected at the Whitchurch Inn for some more festive food and refreshments.

Following the Christmas break, training starts again at Kelly College astro pitch on January 9.
