OLYMPIC silver medallist Heather Fell from Tavistock, world number four Mhairi Spence and world junior number two Freyja Prentice will contest with both of the opening two Modern Pentathlon World Cups of 2012.

The trio have been selected for the GB team for World Cup 1 in Charlotte, USA and World Cup 2 in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, both in March. They will be joined at World Cup 1 by Samantha Murray, with Beijing 2008 Olympian Katy Livingston completing the British women's team at World Cup 2.

The World Cups are significant this year as GB athletes need to perform well to secure places on the four-strong women's team for the World Championships in Rome in May, which is the next opportunity to achieve the London 2012 Olympic qualifying standard.
