THE game at Barnstable began at a fast pace and with both teams making strong attacks and defending furiously.

Louis Weller, Sandy Douglas and Rochelle Hillier for Oke fought tirelessly to keep the strong attackers at bay.

After 20 minutes of resistance Taw Valley broke through with a powerful shot from one of their forwards.

This gave Okehampton the push they needed and they scored minutes after with a powerful ball into the D from Viv Weatherington, giving Emma Wiseman an opportunity to slot the ball into the goal.

After half time Taw Valley pushed hard at the visitors' defence and scored another well deserved goal.

Okehampton were quick to fight back, and the determination of the team kept them fighting.

After a period of strong play from the entire team and superb joint manoeuvres from Lottie Rademaker and Ailsa Gibb in the middle, it led to the equaliser — Alex Collins scoring from a superb ball in from Rachel Adams.

There were more attempts on goal from Sophia Marshall and Annebelle Rademaker but Oke were unable to score the winner. Both teams played extremely well and were evenly matched.
