Okehampton ladies seconds 2

Launceston ladies 2

THE rain held off so made perfect weather to get back into the swing of things and back to hockey.

Launceston drove forward and scored two well earned goals, challenging the Oke defence and sneaking forward to provide goalie Alice Wiseman with the formidable situation of three forwards to one goalie.

However, by the second half Okehampton had began to get their eye in and Launceston's defence were starting to falter when Lotte Rademaker scored in style from a well deserved short corner.

Both sides worked hard with the ball travelling towards both goals and the Okehampton defence of Debbie Pritchard, captain Rochelle Hillier, Louise Weller and Evie as sweeper kept the ball away from the Oke goal in style. The Oke midfield of Ailsa Gibb, Viv Weatherington, Sophia and Emma brought the ball towards Launceston's goal for the forwards consisting of Alex, Rachel Adams, Lotte Rademaker and Annabel Rademaker, who kept the Launceston defence on their toes.

A well positioned shot fired at Launceston's goal by Annabel Rademaker brough the score to a well earned draw.
