Duchy 1
Okehampton 2
HOSTS Duchy are third in the table and Okehampton knew they were in for a tough game.
Okehampton managed to create a few half chances with Leon Oxenham nearly converting at the far post and Jack Watson forcing a good save from the home goalkeeper.
The hosts managed to take the lead when they pounced on a misplaced pass and squeezed the ball in despite good attempts from defence. The hosts then had a goal disallowed when the forward played the ball above his head into the goal.
Jonny Aylen, Luke Liversidge and Will Cooper dominated the hosts' attackers and Ross Davidson grew more confident with a composed display in front of the back three.
Simon Bourne, Joff Stephens, Sam Whalley and Jack Watson's energy proved key as the final few minutes saw the away side push for an equaliser.
With just one minute left the home side won a short corner and the game looked to have slipped away but Whalley did well to stop a goal bound short and clear for Mark Parsons to collect in his own half and drive the the defence, beating one defender he drew the final man and fed to Oxenham who, this time, slotted home to equalise.
With 36 seconds left on the clock the hosts flicked the restart straight into danger and taking it quickly they got the ball out to Watson who skinned his defender before smashing a ball through the defence to the unmarked Leon Oxenham who tapped in for a win.
