The Mount House School equestrian team won the Cornwall and Devon County Show jumping challenge qualifier at 70cms, held at Blundell's.

In doing so, the team qualified to represent both the school and the county at the national finals.

The team – Milly Ridgers, Becky Manton, Eleanor Simpson and Clemmie Crosthwaite Eyre – were competing against teams from four other schools in this class. Milly Ridgers came second individually, Becky Manton fifth and Clemmie Crosthwaite Eyre seventh.

The Mount House team also competed in the 80cm qualifier and came second to the Blundell's team.

The competitions are organised by the National Schools' Equestrian Association, and the Mount House team is looking forward to the national finals, which will be held at Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire on April 26.
