TWO Okehampton residents took part in the International Euro Table Tennis Challenge, held at Cardiff, Wales.
Naomi Jackson,17 and George Haskell, 16, who both attend Okehampton College, were two of the four players that represented England in this international event.
It took place over three days and saw top players from Europe compete against each other. Teams travelled from Luxembourg, Norway, Switzerland, Scotland, Guernsey and Wales.
England was seeded seventh in the competition overall but after some hard fought matches by the young players finished a very impressive second.
Naomi and her doubles partner Jazmin Johns from Paignton, won the girls double event. Both George and Naomi competed at a very high standard and are both looking forward to more international challenges in the future.
