Tavistock Ladies 1sts 0

White Eagles 2

TAVISTOCK went into their first home game of the league season expecting a tough game against White Eagles.

The visitors were much improved from last season and called Tavistock keeper Zoe Viggers into action early on.

The first half proved to be quite a scrappy encounter with both teams defending well and failing to create any clear cut chances in front of goal.

As the game progressed Tavistock started to look more of an attacking threat but were caught on the break by a direct White Eagles side, player of the match  Zoe Viggers making a number of fine saves to keep the game tied at 0-0.

With less than five minutes to go, White Eagles scrambled the ball over the line following a penalty corner. With little time left Tavistock moved to three at the back and played with an additional attacker in an attempt to salvage a point,  but the visitors hit Tavistock on the break and scored a second goal with seconds remaining.
